Andeta Karamina

Andeta Karamina has taken part in several national and international conferences including with International Global Network in AYIMUN 2019, Online MUN Batch 4, and recently as the Secretary General in Online MUN Batch 7 2020. She is an International Relations Graduate from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia, and now working as an Undergraduate Thesis Tutor & as the Education and Socialization Manager at Faculty’s Crisis Center. As someone who grows further interest in international security and politics, she is very excited to welcome everyone in the Asia Africa International MUN 2021. She hopes this event will be a great start for all the delegates to embark in a new beginning, a platform to spark many fresh and advanced ideas, and a place for potential young leaders around the world to connect substantially. More than ever, our world needs us to take immediate actions to face challenges such as climate change, pandemic, poverty, and rooted inequalities. We have seen people pouring out on the street to demand a better quality of life, especially young people – showing that one of the key solutions persistently lies on empowered youths. Andeta believes that Asia Africa International MUN 2021 can be the place for potential young leaders to broaden their network, improve their international perspective, sharpen important soft-skills, and be confident about your future plans. With that said, Andeta wishes all the delegates to have a great experience in AAIMUN and looking forward to meeting everyone!

My name is Apostolos and I come from Greece. I am an undergraduate student at the University of Thessaly, in the Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics. My MUN journey has given me the chance to come across incredible individuals from different cultural backgrounds, foster wholehearted friendships and explore sides of my personality that would not have surfaced otherwise. For polyphony to be ensured, I firmly believe that politics, policy making and human rights advocacy are domains that must consist of people from diverse fields of studies, each of them providing the everlasting dialogue with a different point of view. Felicia Christabel Palar is a third-year Branding Student, Faculty of Business and Economics in Universitas Prasetiya Mulya, started her MUN career since 2019 and attended several national and international conferences as delegate and chair. Her interest is concerned with economic security, social affairs and quality education as part of the human security agenda to achieve sustainable development. She perceives MUN as a platform that has developed herself to equip her for her studies throughout college life, and also shaped her into a better person. Honorable delegates, she believes Asia Africa International MUN 2021 will be a place for you to not only demonstrate substances excellences but also excels at your diplomatic and networking skills. She is very exciting to welcome everyone in International Monetary Fund with the theme “World’s Recession Due to the impact of COVID-19 Outbreak” which highly relevant in today’s global affairs. Before meeting you in IMF, she’d like to pass on an advice: prepare the fullest, enjoy the entire process of Model UN, and remember, there is more to bring home than just awards.

Airish is a host, advocate, and youth leader promoting gender equality and importance of mental health. She is also a MUN enthusiast who won several awards in her MUN journey. For over 3 years, Airish has been a noteworthy leader by offering free tutorial classes to youth who can’t afford to go to school. Aside from that, she is part of Kabataang Lingkod Bayan - a national network of Young Public Servants in the Philippines, the Marketing Head at the University of the Philippines Circle of Entrepreneurs, and Public Relations at the University of the Philippines Diliman Architecture Student Council. As what she always believes in and her advise to all the aspirants, “The first is always the hardest, but literally worth it!


Archit Menon

Archit Menon, a 11th Grader from the city of pearls Hyderabad, India is a passionate and dedicated MUNner. Since he began his journey of MUNs in 2018, he has developed an insatiable fondness for the MUN Platform. He believes that Model UN conferences are a phenomenal way to debate, deliberate, learn and meet new people. Having participated in a plethora of conferences in the capacities of a Delegate, Executive Board member, Secretariat Member and International Press member, Archit understands the various aspects of a Model UN Conference, and has gained a lot of knowledge from his past experiences. Above all, he believes that MUNs play a vital role in a student’s life, pushing them to think outside the mere boundaries of a classroom and grab a peek into the real world in a fun yet diplomatic manner. He believes that you may not be able to do great things, but you can do small things in a great way. With this belief he works as the Vice President of Girl Up Prerna which is a part of the Girl Up campaign under the UN foundation. He is incredibly excited to be serving as the Chairperson of the World Health Organization at AAIMUN and hopes to meet new people, form new friendships and is looking forward to an experience of a lifetime.

Adolfo Alvarez

Originally from the Great State of Texas and currently residing in Mexico, Adolfo Alvarez is a
Mexican-American high school student, SDGs advocate and MUNer. Beginning back in 2016, he has joined several national and international conferences during his MUN journey as a delegate, chair, and member of secretariat; aside from MUN, he is an active member of various NGOs and educational programs, collaborating through volunteering and fundraising; and has participated in many public speaking, debate, scientific research, and writing contests. He believes that the most excelling delegates do what they can with all they have, wherever and whenever they are, cause for him all progress takes place outside the comfort zone, and the difference-making is not about the words that come out of our mouths; it's about the words that come out of our hearts.
From the other side of the globe, Adolfo is looking forward to keeping the legacy of BAIMUN by making this virtual conference one to remember for all the WHO delegates!

Currently , he is in his last year of post-graduation pursuing majors in Finance and Business Analytics from New Delhi Institute of Management. His interests include :- Reading on International Relations and loves to participate in MUNs. He aspires to become an Indian diplomat in future. His achievements include; Best delegate in International MUN to medals in National Space Science Olympiad organized by ISSC at national level in college to English Olympiad by IEO in school level. Daria Kisseleva

Daria is pursuing a dual master’s degree in International Development and International Security. She has discovered MUN back in her first year of university in Paris and has been involved for a while now, in every capacity from delegate to Secretariat, and everything in between! Growing up between two countries with fairly different cultures, Daria’s favourite part about MUN is meeting people from different cultural backgrounds and exploring the diversity of points of view. In her spare time, she enjoys learning new languages, playing the guitar and meeting with her MUN friends from all over the world.

Dhifan Kemal Akbar

Dhifan Kemal Akbar is currently in his second-year majoring in mechanical engineering in Universitas Indonesia. He will be serving as your co-chair in UNDP during the conference. He is looking forward to the conference as we will be discussing one of the most critical issues in the present era. As you know, the great growling engine of change is information technology. Putri Samudra is currently in the final 3rd year of the International Relations study program at the University of Padjadjaran, Indonesia. She majors in several subjects related to the IR, such as diplomacy, health politics, and security studies in the Asia Pacific region. To her, joining the MUN is a gateway to reach and step up into another success in her life. Having the motto of “MUN is how the world sees you”, she aims to use the MUN as the battle to be herself in aspiring people and to maintain world peace. That is why joining the MUN never fails her to keep on trying, so she won the MUN awards nationally and internationally in recent years. Apart from involving herself in the MUN circuit, Putri also roles as the moderator in several national events and actively writes academic essays and journals. Besides, she also likes to read more books related to world politics while staying together with her cats. She cannot wait to meet all of the UNDP delegates as she also feels honoured and excited about taking her part in Asia Africa International MUN 2021!


Pratham Golcha

Pratham Golcha is a 19 year old, currently enrolled in his final year of graduation from Nagpur University, India pursuing the subjects of psychology, sociology and political science. Pratham, being a former delegate and award-winner of AYIMUN 2020, has since then been keenly involved in various Chairing Assignments, meeting new chairing counterparts and delegates from varied backgrounds. To his credit, he is currently engaged in chairing assignments at Israel, Vietnam, India, to name a few. Apart from MUN Chairing, Pratham is a resource speaker and orator, an international researcher, a volunteer with the International Human Rights Commission, and a Chief Facilitator of United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals Courses. Moreover, he is a climate activist, keen blogger, and podcaster. Pratham seeks solace and adventure in travelling, which is his favorite hobby. Hailing from a multi-cultural and diversely rich country India, he has a keen interest in going places, meeting people from different culture and learning new languages, which is primarily his reason of joining MUNs. Pratham as the Head Chair of UNWTO, is looking forward to meet and interact with one and all and make the committee as vibrant as possible. What are expected of the delegates are immaculate diplomatic skills, fierceness to come up with plausible and sustainable solutions, and the capacity to negotiate and be creative. Worry not, even if you’re a first timer or have lost touch, Pratham just requires you all to have fire in the belly and fierceness to compete. He’s looking forward to positive vibes and resonating voices as soon as possible, to start this incredulous journey.

Ayu Maharani

Her role as an accounting student doesn't make her stop for juggling with international activities such as Model United Nations. Ayu Maharani or commonly addressed as Ayu is a full time learner who always strive for a better education. Her eagerness to always challenge herself outside her comfort zone resulted with her desire to also focusing her academic coursework outside the class. Her interest on Public Policy, Sustainability, and Decent Economic Growth somehow made her encountered with Model United Nations, as what she always called a pleasure escape way in the midst of the chaotic world of accounting, And until now, still humbled to learn a lot. She has joined numerous Model UN, as Chair and Delegate. She even got a chance to snatch several awards in International and National Conferences. Within her experiences in Model UN, Ayu has comprehensively understood about the flow of debate in the council. In Asia Africa International MUN 2021, alongside with Pratham, Ayu will be serving as Co-Chair of UNWTO. She cannot wait to have a Holistic Experience with the delegates virtually. With the interesting topic about tourism that also playing an important role for the economic growth & sustainability of each country especially after the pandemic, she hopes the delegates will prepare themselves well with the excitement and joy that bring along the understanding of the topic which have being researched prior to the conference. Kamran from Pakistan is currently enrolled in the last year of my graduation in University of Peshawar, majoring in law. He is also the youth Minister For Human Rights at PYA, KP. Which boosts him more to be in such international activities. He started his MUN journey from AYIMUN 2020 which was held in February in Kuala Lumpur. Then he got enrolled in some local MUNs. And also he was an ambassador for his country in APIMUN. 17 year old, Vianca Caitlin Marie Go from Cebu, Philippines believes that anyone can make a difference. By the ripe age of six, public speaking played an enormous role in her life. She has written and performed Ted Talks and competed in various public speaking competitions. Armed with her talent in public speaking and leadership, she ventured into Model United Nations and was fortunate enough to bring pride to her country. Ever since she has actively participated winning various Best Delegate Awards and charing for multiple conferences. She also believes that this is a platform to be the voice for the voiceless and the protectors of the weak. Xyza Vasily Dela Peña has taken part in several MUNs locally and internationally as a delegate, committee member and chair. She started her MUN journey in BAIMUN I where she was awarded as the Most Outstanding Delegate. After which, she became an ambassador of IGN and took part in MUN committees, such as GGMUN 3.0 in Thailand. She then started to be part of local MUNs, attending as chair. Recently she was awarded as the Most Outstanding Delegate and Best in Position Paper in HANMUN I. MUN aids in her understanding of how diplomacy matters the most amidst the chaos the world is in. She works as researcher and developer and a committed community volunteer, focusing on raising effective youth leaders. She hails from the Philippines, but currently resides in Hungary and is pursuing her degree in Earth Sciences. In her spare time, she goes hiking or often finds herself doing street photography.

Muhammad Shayan Ibrahim (preferably Shayan) is a 4th year university student majoring in Economics with a love for public speaking and gaining international exposure. Theresia Magdalena Theofanny is a penultimate year psychology student from the University of Indonesia. Albeit not coming from a conventional MUN-related background, Theresia has a keen interest in international affairs, particularly ones related to humanities. Starting her journey in just a little over a year ago, Theresia has delegated in more than 10 national and international MUN conferences and has accumulated various awards consistently. Apart from the valuable knowledge it offers, Theresia believes that MUN is one of the best platforms for self-development and networking with likeminded individuals. Ezri has a degree in Psychology from UM Tagum College in the Philippines. While his background is more inclined on the social sciences, he is always active in local and international events which have provided him venues to practice his leadership and diplomacy skills. He has held numerous leadership posts in middle school and in college. He has used his voice and influence to speak of his stances through local and international events like MUNs where he has also received awards. During the Asia World MUN at Bangkok, Thailand, he has received two awards for Best Position Paper and Honorable Mention. He was also a delegate of the Philippines during the ASEAN Student Forum at Perak, Malaysia. His research about suicide was also published in an online journal and was presented in Tokyo, Japan last year. He was also the Secretary-General of the second edition of the Global Youth Model United Nations E-conference. He is currently working as a Human Resource Manager at a tutorial company serving international students and he will be serving as the Co-Chair of UNHRC Council of the upcoming Asia Africa International Model United Nations Online Conference on January 15-18, 2020.

I am Mohammad Ruzain Bin Ismail from Brunei Darussalam, currently studying Petroleum Engineering as my course. It is with profound joy and gratitude to act as a Co-Chairperson for SOCHUM at Asia Africa International MUN, which will gather metanoias of aspirational youth across the globe. I have been involved in the Model UN circuit for about 15 months as a delegate, chairperson, organizing committee, and executive board member. It is such a momentous to learn, and comprehend in-depth of the continuity and amplitude of crisis that has affected the world. Regardless of what your age and academic background may be, we proudly accept everyone to discover technical path-independencies. It requires the acquisition of a certain skill set as well as the knowledge to comprehend the substance of diplomacy. And I believe that each of you all will understand better the ongoing social issues that have been a detrimental mechanism to the international community.
