Besides, domestic demand is expected to recover faster than international demand according to the. The majority expects to see signs of recovery by the final quarter of 2020 but mostly in 2021. Decades of effort and progress to end poverty, the first Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), might be jeopardized and wiped out. Hence, international cooperation is urgently needed to guarantee and protect the rights of the people, especially marginalized groups such as impoverished people in developing countries, that prioritizes the promotion of equality, social inclusion, and provide sustainable financial assistance to empower people.

Throughout history, women have undeniably been playing an integral part in the development of nations, especially in times of crisis such as today. However, women are also more likely to bear the brunt of consequences of the pandemic with the possibility of long-term repercussion. UN report stated that the pandemic is deepening pre-existing inequalities, exposing vulnerabilities in social, political, and economic systems where women are trapped in between. The increasing levels of domestic, sexual, and gender-based violence, the rise of unemployment, and unequal access to services due to patriarchal culture have been disproportionately affecting women, particularly those of vulnerable groups. Thus, interventions that are designed to meet the needs of women are essential to ensure a sustainable recovery for everyone during and after the pandemic.
